China's express logistics sector posted growth in December last year boosted by the rebound in sales and production.
State media reported that data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) showed that express logistics stood at 100.9% during the period, up 1.1 percentage points from a month earlier, bucking the downward trend in November 2021.
"It attributed the expansion to the consolidation of the Chinese economy, the stability of market supply and demand, and the rebound of enterprises' expectations on production," Xinhua said in a new report.
It said business and cross-border express logistics both rose 1.3 percentage points from the previous month.
China's manufacturing activities also picked up in December, with the sub-index tracking manufacturing business express logistics hitting 102.4%, up 2.3 percentage points month on month.
"Based on statistics of business express services, China's express logistics index reflects the development of the country's industrial activities and express logistics sector," the state media added.
