BDP International's three office locations in Brussels, Milan and New York have received certification from The International Air Transport Association (IATA)'s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) for pharma logistics.

The said BDP locations in Brussels (Belgium), Milan (Italy), and JFK (New York), have all completed training to be able to comply with the international standards set by IATA to ensure the safe transport of pharmaceutical products.

"Ensuring product quality is a significant challenge for the pharmaceutical industry," said Simona Ravera, BDP’s director of sales for life sciences, EMEA.

"With the CEIV certification, our customers around the world can trust that their logistics partner is invested in the highest quality standards for their high-quality products," Ravera added.

IATA's CEIV certification confirms that processes of companies handling pharmaceutical products meet the IATA Temperature Control Regulations (TCR) and international standards and best practices, including those of the World Health Organization, European Union Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and the United States Pharmacopeia standards.

The CEIV Pharma certification was developed to assist the air cargo supply chain by establishing a common baseline from existing regulations and standards.
