Maersk is set to launch two new services in August, covering the Europe-Middle East-Indian sub-continent trade.
In addition to those two new services, Maersk has also confirmed the restructuring of the Black Sea-East Med ME3 service, which will include new calls at Dammam and Jubail, which presently form part of the ME6 service port rotation. The ME6 will be closed down in early August, and replaced by the ME7 service, which made its first sailing on August 4.
In addition, and with the ME3 undergoing port changes, the service will no longer call at India ports.
Details of the port rotations and capacity deployment on the new services are as follows:
ME3 service. Port rotation: Dammam, Jubail, Jebel Ali, Salalah, Port Said, Ambarli, Novorossiysk, Ambarli, Port Said, Salalah, Jebel Ali and Dammam. Deployment: 6 x 4,870 TEU vessels.
ME4 service. Port rotation: Doha, Jebel Ali, Salalah, Jeddah, Tangier Med, Alexandria, Port Said East, Jeddah, Salalah and Doha.Deployment: 6 x 2,800 TEU vessels.
ME7 service. Port rotation: Ennore, Colombo, Salalah, Algeciras, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Jeddah, Salalah, Colombo and Ennore.Deployment: 8 x 6,500 TEU vessels.
