Munich Airport announced that Air China Cargo has begun operating six weekly flights between Munich to Beijing — the first scheduled freight connection between the two countries.
In a statement, Munich said the new cargo connection to Beijing was operated by a Boeing 777 of Air China and had landed at Bavaria's aviation hub.
"From now on, Air China will connect Munich and Beijing six times per week carrying automotive supplies, among other things," Munich Airport said.
"The new cargo service is the first regular cargo connection to be operated non-stop from Munich to the Chinese capital,” it added.
