China's express logistics sector recorded stable growth in February as market demand and production gradually picked up, Chinese state media said, referring to data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.

In a statement, it said the index tracking express logistics came in at 100.4% last month, up 0.5 percentage points from January.

It attributed the expansion to the continuous recovery of the Chinese economy and the steady rebound of demand in the domestic market.

Xinhua in its report said in the breakdown, the sub-indices for enterprise express logistics rose 1.5 percentage points month on month to 101%, while that for cross-border express logistics climbed 1.7 percentage points to 96.8%.

China's manufacturing and tertiary sectors also registered steady growth in February, with the sub-indices tracking manufacturing business express delivery up 0.8 percentage points month on month, while that for the services sector rose 2.2 percentage points.
